It took some time but it is here finally. Raj National Express has started online booking for their bus services between many cities. Pune especially has got one more player in the already competitive scene in Pune – Mumbai sector. The service is very good. Once we had to go to Mumbai to catch a flight. We left two hours gap. But there was no sign of the bus. We waited for full one hour. In the meantime, the office person at the pickup point contacted the main office. The situation was not in our favour. The bus that was supposed to come had met with an accident while coming from Mumbai and they had to arrange a bus very fast. They did it and they also instructed the driver to go non stop to Mumbai. It is a different story that the flight itself was late by an hour.
Yatra has also introduced bus booking. The site is really fast and has a good interface. One can also do hotel booking, car booking for many cities on this site.
There is another player in the south also, KPN Travels. I do not have the experience of travelling by their buses though. Any inputs ?
